Amazingly Australia have reversed their awful 20/20 form and have showed they are up there in the world for one day cricket form. Australia can one day it with the best of them. Michael Clarke and Ricky Ponting both made it past 50 again. Punter was very impressive post captaincy and Ponting’s form is not being questioned now.
While for Pup he surpassed 50 again and looks a shoo in to relieve the pressure of being Aussie captain. Clarkey managed to put in an assured performance as the new skipper. Ponting’s actually looking comfortable playing under Pup and it’s making Pup look like an assured Aussie Captain.
You have to remember that allegedly Pup showed his future captaincy mettle when he allegedly confronted and fell out with Andrew Symonds and confronted him when he was supposed to be drinking with the great Brian Lara.
If this story is true it just proves how suited Pup is for the Aussie captaincy allegedly confronting the man who was until this his best mate. They went fishing in North Queensland together.
Australia is embarking on its first big tour after the disaster of last years Ashes campaign. Sri Lanka are probably the best T20 side in the world.
Overnight Australia were going to take on Sri Lanka. The Australian side is far from settled but new Aussie captain Michael Clarke gets to stamp his influence on this new young unheralded Aussie side.

On the pace side Doug Bollinger has been punished for not being Test match fit and might not be seen again on the international stage
